Christmas Eve

Teagan has been patiently waiting for Christmas weekend, and the first special festivity on the schedule was making a gingerbread house with Mame.  She didn't even want to eat breakfast this morning, she wanted to head straight to Mame's house so she could start.  Lucky for her, the gingerbread structure had to dry before she could start decorating.  What a beautiful creation!  And a belly fully of candy too!

We have such a fun filled weekend (and week) ahead of us - Christmas eve dinner, reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and putting out our stockings and cookies for Santa, CHRISTMAS DAY, a week home to play, and Christmas celebrations with Grandpa and then Grandma & Grandpa George, Josh, and Melissa later in the week.  Plus of course 10 days off of work and daycare is fun no matter what you do!  The only not-so-fun part of our week is Declan's surgery on Tuesday but we are trying to put it out of our minds and focus on the Christmas festivities!

So, I leave you with the Gingerbread Extravaganza:

Carefully placing each gum drop

Sooo happy to be decorating once Gingerbread Engineer mommy got the house assembled

With Mame - they had so much fun together

Filling the roof with candy

Posing with her final product

....and with Elfa-Mame

I think it turned out great!

She was saying "one for the house, one for Teagan" and eating handfuls of candy
