Today Teagan had her first "friends" birthday party ever. Twelve friends helped her celebrate her 4th birthday. The theme was ice cream and everyone seemed to have a great time. It was threatening to rain the whole morning but we made it through the party with no rain. It was a cooler day but no one seemed to mind and the kids ran around the yard and then got hopped up on a lot of sugar. Teagan loved being the guest of honor and playing with her friends. Declan napped through the entire party and then some. Which, in the long run made it much easier for Mom and Dad to host the party and keep everything running smoothly. The kids did an ice cream cone relay race, an ice cream bean bag toss, an ice cream pinata and then made ice cream sundaes. Matt also arranged through a work colleague to have a cotton candy machine, so he made cotton candy for the kids to eat and we sent a bag home with each kid along with their favor bag. There was so much of the supplies left over that we tried to use up after the party - we ended up with 45 bags of cotton candy. So we will be sharing with neighbors and coworkers because we only need about 2 bags ourselves! Happy Birthday Teagan, I hope you had an awesome time at your party.
