Ice Cream Sundae Party - The Details

Theme: Ice Cream Sundae 4th Birthday Party
Invitations: Not pictured - found Paul Frank invitations at Target on clearance with the Paul Frank monkey with ice cream on his head so I decided to buy those instead of making my own

Games/Activities
Ice cream bean bag toss - we never formally had the kids play this but a few played it at the beginning.  I painted this myself on a piece of foam core board I had laying around using acrylic craft paint.
Ice cream relay race: This was modeled after egg on a spoon but I painted 4 styrofoam balls to look like ice cream flavors.  Kids had to hold mini cones and balance the ball on the cone and walk down and back.  At four, they didn't fully understand the concept of racing or have teams but they all wanted to try it so I'll call it a win
Ice cream pinata: Found this ice cream shaped pinata at the grocery store.  We didn't do blindfolds but just let the kids hit it.  They seemed to have fun although in the end a grown up ended up breaking it open.  They all liked scrambling for the treats.  The best part of this activity was it got all 13 kids in the far back of the yard so I could set up the ice cream buffet table.
Cotton candy: Matt rented a cotton candy machine through a work colleague which I think was more for him than for the kids (jk).  They seemed to like it although it was definitely sugar/sweets overload.

Ice cream sundae bar
Ice creams - chocolate, vanilla, black raspberry, and two sorbets for non-dairy people.
Toppings - mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, marshino cherries, chocolate sprinkles, rainbow sprinkles, sweedish fish mix, sour gummi worms, mini gummi bears, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries, bananas
Cupcakes - funfetti cupcakes with homemade butter cream frosting in yellow, blue, and green and confetti sprinkles.  Frosting piped on using Wilton 1M tip.
Drinks - lemon and lime infused ice water and 100% apple juice
Serving dishes - colorful ice cream dishes were from Christmas Tree Shops and Paul Frank monkey/ice cream paper plates were another clearance Target find to coordinate with the invite

Favors
I said the kids could get their dish washed and take it home but only a few ended up doing so.  The favor bags were from the same paul frank line and were again on clearance at Target.  At a later date there was dollar bin Paul Frank items on clearance, 70% off, so for $0.30 each I got a set of Paul Frank monkey magnets and a monkey white board with marker.  I also included a mini play doh in each bag and held off on the candy since they got some from the pinata.  We also pre-made enough bags of cotton candy for each child to take a bag home.

Decor
Bunting flags were a clearance find at Target and have already been used for Declan's 1st birthday party and Teagan's family birthday party the weekend before.  The square bowls from the toppings were from Party City, as were the colored plastic table cloths.  The last touch was the colorful tissue pom poms which were reused from an event last summer (handmade at the time).
