Handle With Care

Grammy Sue brought Teagan a cute souvenir from Disney World, where she went for a work conference this week.  She was stylin' in her 100% organic "Handle With Care" Minnie Mouse t-shirt.  It is very soft and very cute!  She enjoyed playing with her toys and eating a quick lunch.  The rest of T's weekend will be devoted to celebrating her Mama's birthday!  Also this weekend is Teagan's phantom "9 Month Birthday", which is the 29th of the month (which of course doesn't happen this month).  Happy 9 months Little T.  She is very close to crawling, as captured in photo below.

Trying to crawl towards...

...a plate of sweet potato fries.  I think we had better move this messy meal to the highchair.

Grandma's hand-me-down high chair has a make shift strap - a pretty scarf!

Forgot a normal bib - a dishtowel will have to do!

YUM!

Baby Blue

Teagan and I went for a walk today.  The weather warmed into the upper 40s and it felt like a heat wave! We took a few laps of the circle then headed in so T could take a nap.  Teagan enjoyed taking in the sights and sounds of the neighborhood.  Her gorgeous baby blues peeked out from her hood to take it all in.  The slightly warmer temperatures made me long for spring, when T and I can get out and about every afternoon!!!

6th State - Michigan

Teagan took a trip to Michigan to visit her Great Grandparents for the weekend.  Michigan is the 6th state she has visited, and in the process she drove through her second country (Canada).

Teagan got to spend lots of time with Great Grandma, and also got to visit Great Grandpa.  She also spent time with Uncle Dave and cousin Emma, Uncle Paul, Aunt Nancy and Uncle Jim (all Great Aunts and Uncles) and also met my second cousin Kathy and Great Aunt Ellen (don't know what the technical name for her relation to them is!!).  Additionally, Teagan's Grammy Sue came with us, so she spent lots of quality time with her too.  Finally, as icing on the cake, we stopped at UB on the way home and had a 2 minute visit with Aunt Melissa.

It was so nice for so many relatives to meet Teagan, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Michigan.  Teagan enjoyed playing and was a very good girl.  She had a special first Valentine's Day and was showered with gifts from Grammy, Great Grandma, Uncle Dave & Emma, and Aunt Nancy & Uncle Jim.

We were unable to get out traditional "Teagan in front of the state sign" because the US/Michigan border is in the middle of a bridge, but we were able to capture a few photo mementos of our travels.

I have a lot more pictures to post but blogger is being a pain and taking forever to load them...so more to come

Silly Monkey Girl

Cute little monkey in some cute monkey PJs.

Teagan and Mama

Visit from Grandpa

Grandpa C came over today to visit.  Unfortunately it was a short visit because I had a baby shower to go to, but it was very nice to see him.  Teagan has developed a little shyness, even with people she sees on a fairly regular basis.  I think this is the beginnings of the typical 9-month fear-of-everyone-but-mommy-and-daddy.  This happened last weekend when Kristen and Brad were over too.  Teagan needed to sit on my lap and turn her head away until she warmed up to her visitors. Today the transition was a little faster, and once she got playing with her toys she was dancing and talking away.

Play Date

Teagan had a playdate Saturday.  Her friend Evelyn came over to play and show Teagan her new skills - Evelyn just learned to crawl!  Teagan apparently didn't learn from it because she isn't crawling yet.  The second picture shows the mass chaos of toys the girls played with.  I think they each managed to drool on every toy!

Splashing in the Big Girl Tub

I apologize in advance for going completely overboard on the number of pictures in this post.  However, I would like you to recognize that when you take 200+ pictures during ONE bath, whittling it down to 15 is a serious accomplishment.  Especially when the pictures are of the oh-so-cute Little T!  So I hope you enjoy the sampling of pictures I have put together for you.

This was Teagan's first try at a bath in the big girl tub. It went very well, although towards the end she wanted to try to pull up on the side.  For those wondering, slippery babies and pulling up/standing in the tub are NOT a good combination.  Also, you may notice my hands in many of the pictures, because slippery heinys, precious babies and water make Mommies nervous!

I included pictures of my hair since I got it cut last weekend and sported my natural curls today.

New Dress

Teagan got this new dress for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa George, and she looked so cute that I had to take some pictures.  Notice her sneaking a grab at Spackle in the background?  Due to the frigid temperatures outside, some leggings were in order to complete the outfit.

Team Spirit

Friday was "team spirit" day at Teagan's daycare.  Of course, Teagan had to show her love for her home team by wearing her Bills jersey.  Then, it occurred to me that perhaps the other little babies in her room might tease her for liking the Bills after their pitiful, awful season. So I hope little Joshua and Braeden weren't too tough on Teagan.  If they were, she probably diffused the situation by offering them her teething toy, complete with slobber of course.  She's so generous, my Teagan. Below are some playtime pictures from Friday evening.
